Current sources
The first edition draws mainly on material already on this site: the complete six Tsinghua lectures and the notes and timed transcript of Alumni Health Salon Session 12.
Entries have been checked against those texts. A line-by-line review of all original video and an independent literature review of treatment effectiveness have not been completed. Transcripts contain recognition errors, and notes may expand summaries or use different wording. Source links make it possible to check the context.
The English Wiki is translated from the Chinese edition. The six-course series offers English AI dubbing, English subtitles and a translated transcript, alongside the Mandarin original. The AI voice is not the lecturer’s own English voice. The introductory talk has an English reading guide and the original Chinese transcript. Video language and source language are labeled; an English page does not imply translated audio or subtitles.
Word timestamps and video references
All six lectures have new Chinese word-level transcripts aligned with the publicly available video versions. Each word retains a start and end time. The course transcript tab offers a merged JSON download; unmodified responses from each transcription request are archived separately. Merging adds each chunk’s offset on the full lecture timeline.
The new Tsinghua video references were selected from their transcript context. “Play excerpt” opens the corresponding lecture at that time and displays its Chinese transcript. Playback continues beyond the passage; the stated end time is a reading reference. Lecture six uses the public version with its opening removed.
Three kinds of material
- Lecture content: the speaker's views and terms in a particular lecture.
- Editorial explanation: illustrative examples, suggested study order and conceptual comparisons.
- Research evidence: accessible original studies, with their participants, methods and results, rather than numbers mentioned in a lecture alone.
This edition does not turn reported response rates, diagnostic comparison tables or individual case outcomes into universal medical conclusions.
Learning and clinical care
These are learning materials, not an individual assessment. Psychotherapy may be used alone or with medication and other treatment; choices depend on the individual and professional guidance. See the NIMH introduction to psychotherapies.
Future updates
Each entry is stored separately. For a new talk, record the title, source, date and timestamps before adding it to relevant entries. Revisions retain a version history; uncertainties are marked rather than overwriting the source material.
The site is maintained by its owner and assistant for public reading. Visitor editing is not enabled in this edition.
